Ordinary Backdrops is a series that takes place in Japan. The photographs stand for a sense of plasticity which belongs to ordinary yet unusual views of the suburban scenario: grids and patterns contribute to an overall feeling of order, although disturbed by the imperfection of the everyday. It witnesses a “state of things”: backdrops of everyday life, waiting for something to happen, yet being already protagonists of a careful composition.
