"Since I’ve been" gone is an ongoing series of photographs which approaches the concepts of displacement, identity, memories and homesickness. The fact that I’ve been living away from my home city for the last 8 years has influenced my perception of it. This place which I still call ‘home’ actually isn’t home anymore. I believe the word home should be understood as whatever place a person finds him or herself living, sharing a connection with its surrounding including, but not limited to society, culture or language.
